Dr Mounds worked his magic and things are looking up. Literally. He did not gasp in horror when I flashed him. Instead he took out his magic marker and started doodling on my chest. Good Heavens that man loves to color. He even mapped out exactly where he wants the port installed. X marks the spot. I took a photo of his artwork so I could show it to the port installer. That way I can take a shower.
Next week is busy, busy with tests and procedures. Monday I meet with the radiation oncologist. Tuesday I get to be at the hospital bright and early for the port. It will be done under conscious sedation. That sounds like fun. I will make sure my daughters take photos. Later in the week I get an echo-cardiogram and then a chemo teach. Looks like I am finally one of the popular girls with my dance card so full!
The plan is for chemo to start the following week.
Yay for Dr. Mounds! I hope you get some pretty new dancing shoes to go with your full dance card.
Far out Sista! I’m glad things are looking up and you’re letting Dr. Mounds color again. Seriously though, it’s good to hear everything is back on track.
Great news! Get lots of rest for that busy week coming up. Colouring, dancing, mapping, yep, busy girl 🙂
Good news! Recovery is like dancing: one step back, two steps forward… I’m so happy that you have such a wonderful team of doctors and daughters around you.
Dr. Mounds to the rescue and this hiccup is just about past tense. 🙂 Pace yourself this week around all that dancing. I agree with Hanna and she worded her message perfectly.
I had conscious sedation when I had my wisdom teeth out….you’ll LOVE it!!! I think it should be offered daily. Good luck Gen, you’ll do fine 🙂
When you get conscious medication it also brings on loose lips. Enjoy!!!
